A Message from Midge, Our President

MorningStar Publications, Inc. (dba MorningStar Cultural Arts Group) has been in existence for almost twenty years and during that time, has brought a number of entertaining and beneficial programs to this Coastal Empire and the surrounding communities. Click on our program icon and see some examples of the wide variety of programs we have sponsored. Each project added to our knowledge of the cultural arts and each unique event enhanced the collective spirit that has become a MorningStar experience.
In addition to working on projects to accomplish our own mission, MorningStar has implemented a number of other programs for different organizations within our community so that they can fund-raise for their own worthy causes. We are grateful to have had the friendship and support of many other organizational leaders who believed enough in our projects to form coalitions with MorningStar. We are grateful for individuals and businesses that have provided us with services, assisted us financially and who continue to show interest in what is being offered at MorningSta Arts. Unfortunately, our base of support has been very small which has had a significant effect on our ability to produce larger numbers of projects—but we have never compromised on the quality. This leads everyone to recognize that MorningStar does very good work.  If you do not already support our various programs, please determine if you can make a donation to MorningStar of financial resources, time or talent. I can assure you that you will feel very good about supporting an organization with MorningStar's reputation of providing quality programming for participants of all ages, economic and ethnic backgrounds.

Thank you,
Midge L. Schildkraut
President

A Message from Carol, Our Creative Director:

A Lesson I have learned along the way:

Sometimes thinking outside the box has to include the box!

It was fun and exciting for MorningStar to be a maverick organization. For almost 20 years' work behind the scenes, we have avoided being tied down to the rules and constraints of larger organizations.

By quietly impacting the lives of others through cultural arts exposure, we were able to be true to our own visions, fill unmet community needs and avoid censorship. We were never burdened by those rules that force boards of creative organizations to table doing the amazing things in favor of the practical, because there is little or no money in the budget. We did them anyway... and each thing we accomplished seemed like the best thing!

What an adventure we have had! Now with a little fairy dust, it is time for us too to grow up and learn from the wonderful foundations that other cultural arts organizations have been building slowly through the years, so we can better serve more people with that MorningStar magic!

L'Chayim-- To Life and to another 20 years!
